Verde Recreo are installing a 40m x 40m, 3rd generation football training pitch, for Yatton Junior Football Club. The project includes a twinbar perimeter fence, floodlighting and upgrading works to the car park.
Five years in the planning and financing, Verde Recreo have been chosen by Yatton Junior Football Club to create a 3G artificial turf pitch, suitable for football training and Futsal. The site originally housed a block of 2 macadam tennis courts. These will be planed up and used as a base for the new pitch. New drainage will be installed under the pitch, before kerbing and the importation of a stone sub-base. A dynamic layer of aggregate will be trimmed to a fine tolerance, upon which a Greenfields FT XP 50 will be installed.
A 3m high twinbar fence is specified to enclose the court, and 4, ten metre high floodlight columns will be illumination to 200 Lux. The project also requires the extending and re-surfacing of the existing car park.
By the end of this week we had: set up the site, planed the tarmac, stripped the topsoil, installed the pitch drainage, installed the cable ducts, kerbed the pitch and imported the initial stone blanket.
The floodlights were erected and connected at the start of the week. The dynamic layer was imported and trimmed using the laser dozer.
The new drainage system to the car park was installed this week. We laid a concrete edging to the perimeter and imported the stone sub-base for the car park extension.
We began the fence installation this week. We plan to get the new pitch secure before we start installing the carpet.
The carpet was delivered to site on Tuesday. By Wednesday night it was rolled out and jointed. The sand infill layer was applied on Thursday and the rubber crumb infill was started on Friday
We completed the rubber infill to the carpet and groomed it up. The perimeter fencing was also completed this week.
