Description

This exciting refurbishment contract will greatly enhance the excellent sporting facilities already on offer at the Combe Dingle Sports Complex. The existing water based hockey pitch was no longer performing to an adequate standard, having been patched and re-patched over the years.

Verde Recreo proposed to replace this unsuitable surface with Greenfields latest hockey turf, an 18mm mono filament sand dressed carpet. The quality of the turf, coupled with Verde's commitment to after care convinced the client to award the contract to Verde. We were also able to meet the high environmental standards expected by the University as both the old carpet and shockpad will be processed and re-used, not taken to a landfill.

The pitch will be installed over the Summer break, and will be in play in time for the new hockey season.

The existing pitch base has now been tested to ensure it complies with the standards for hockey and we returned to site to lay the new shock pad.
