Football and rugby surfaces have dramatically improved through the development of 3rd generation long pile carpets, which closely replicate a natural turf system but with the advantages of improved playability, comfort and safety.
These carpets use softer yarns, with a long pile height and are in filled with sand and rubber. The surface is considered suitable for Rugby training as studded boots can be worn and there is less abrasion on contact.
